Swaziland Primary Schools Project was set up by our friend's Dad John Tibbs.
The Swaziland Schools Project raises money for building work and equipment for primary schools in Swaziland, Southern Africa. It also pays children's school fees. Swaziland borders South Africa and Mozambique; a tiny country the size of Wales. The population is 1 million people and the country has the highest rates of HIV infection in the world. There is no free education in Swaziland and approximately 20,000 school-age children do not attend school at all because of poverty and compulsory school fees.
As well as paying for School fees, the Charity's Projects for 2006/7 are to replace the water tanks at Enkhaba Primary school that were smashed in a recent storm and to carry out essential repairs and install a new water supply to Luhhamaneni School, a very remote and neglected school.
To make a donation directly you can either send a cheque to the Rev John Tibbs, 19 Adelaide Square, Bedford, MK402RN or to The Very Revd Jack Dobson, Enjabulweni PO Box 764 Mbabane Swaziland. For information contact John Tibbs or Jack Dobson
There are no administration costs. Every penny goes towards the Project in Swaziland.
